Tulsa Oilers
Professional football makes its return to Tulsa 🏈
Overview
Proud creators of the Tulsa Oilers football team, a valued member of the IFL.
The team's name was shaped with input from thousands of passionate fans, reflecting the vibrant city of Tulsa. Owner Andy Scurto expressed heartfelt gratitude for the fans' crucial role in the naming process, resulting in the perfect choice, "Oilers." The name carries a rich history in Tulsa, associated with a professional hockey franchise since 1928 and a minor league baseball team from 1905 to 1976.
The Tulsa Oilers' colors hold deep significance; "Gold" symbolizes the high standards upheld by the community, while "Oil Black" pays homage to the city's illustrious oil frontier history.
Blending the renowned Tulsa Oilers brand with the new indoor football team, Owner Andy Scurto emphasized the importance of preserving the football team's unique identity. Distinct colors, logos, and marks were thoughtfully crafted, beautifully tying in the heritage of Oklahoma's oil industry. The logo creatively unites an oil drop, an oil derrick, and a football, resulting in a cohesive and fitting brand for Tulsa.
"You nailed it! Everyone loves the brand we developed for the Oilers. Thanks for the great work!!!"
— Andy Scurto, Owner
